UAE weather: Low visibility warning due to foggy conditions

Weather forecasters have put UAE motorists on high alert with foggy weather conditions expected across the country.

The National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology said on Monday that visibility could be less than 300 metres on several roads in the Emirates.

Fog was reported this morning covering parts of Madinat Zayed, Ras Al Khaimah and Al Minhad.

The Centre said weather is expected to be fair with partly clouds and haze at times later.

Light to moderate winds may cause conditions to get dusty over exposed areas in the country.

Humidity is also expected to reach 95 per cent across coastal and inland regions, increasing at night and in the early morning across coastal and internal areas.

Seas will be slight to moderate.

Inland, winds will reach up to 24kph and maximum temperatures will be about 41°C. Temperatures will range from 28 to 40°C along the coast.

The highest temperature recorded in the country was 43.1°C in Swiehan at 1.45pm on Sunday afternoon and the lowest temperature recorded was a chilly 19.3°C in Damtha at 6.15am on Sunday morning.
