UAE weather: light rain and cloud to persist into the weekend
Forecasters say the mildly unsettled conditions represent seasonal change
The temperatures may be climbing but winter is not over ... yet.
Forecasters have warned of a chance of rain across parts of the UAE into the weekend.
Cloudy conditions in general are also set to persist, with strengthening winds kicking up dust clouds over exposed areas, the National Centre of Meteorology said.
Scattered rain is set to persist over the country until Friday.
Seas in the Arabian Gulf are also set to be moderate to rough.
A forecaster told The National on Wednesday that the mildly unsettled conditions are typical for this time of year and represent seasonal change.
"Last year we had rain during this period; it's normal," he said.
"It's the changing of seasons ... so we have unstable weather from time to time. Today we could have temperatures increasing. Tomorrow we could have a decrease but it's not significant."
Temperatures are currently hitting highs of about 40°C and rising with lows under 20°C in the mountains.
But as we head into the weekend, the winter rains are set to linger.
