UAE weather: humidity to surge

Forecasters warn of more fog and a chance for rain into the week

Haze and sandy conditions is set to return after a weekend free of dusty weather.

Forecasters have warned that winds on Monday could lead to dust storms in some areas, while the humidity is also set to surge.

According to the National Centre of Meteorology, humidity could hit 90 per cent along the coast and in some internal areas by Monday night.

Fog hit parts of the country overnight and the weather bureau warned of more on Tuesday and a chance of rain.

It will be partly cloudy and hazy at times over the UAE on Monday and cloud cover is set to increase in the east by afternoon.

It could hit 44°C in some internal areas while temperatures could sink as low as 17°C in the mountains.

Maritime conditions, meanwhile, will be slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and in the Sea of Oman.
