The chance of fog and poor visibility down to less than 1,000 metres has been forecast over some coastal and internal areas on Monday.

The conditions would cover several regions including areas such as Ruwais on the west.

The fog and mist cover extended over the Al Maktoum International airport, Al Minhad, Ras Al Khaimah, Ghayathi and nearby areas, according to the National Centre for Meteorology and Seismology.

The centre asked people to be aware and on the lookout for foggy conditions that would stretch from the north through to southern areas.

The weather will turn hazy and cloudy over eastern areas and over the mountains by afternoon over the next two days.

Humidity is set to increase at night and during the early morning in coastal and internal areas with the sea moderate in the Arabia Gulf and the Sea of Oman.

Temperatures will range from 26 to 46°C in the interior regions, 27 to 41°C along the coast, 23 to 35°C in the mountains.

The maximum humidity would be 70 to 90 per cent across coastal regions, between 65 to 90 per cent in internal areas and 30 to 50 per cent in the mountains.
