UAE weather: Fog warning issued on Thursday

Humidity levels set to be high during the early morning hours and at night on Thursday and Friday in the Emirates

The UAE will mainly see sunshine, as well as some cloud formation on Thursday.

Relative humidity will increase at night and will continue into Friday morning over some western areas, with the probability of fog or mist formation, the National Centre of Meteorology said.

The weather bureau posted a fog alert at about 7am on Thursday and warned that visibility on the roads could be reduced during the morning hours on Friday too.

Temperatures could reach 28°C in Abu Dhabi and 27°C in Dubai on Thursday, the NCM said.

Winds may reach speeds of up to 38kmph in mountainous regions and sea conditions will be "slight to moderate" in the Arabian Gulf and in the Sea of Oman.
