UAE weather: dust clouds and rising humidity
Rough conditions forecast in the Arabian Gulf
Forecasters in the UAE have warned 40kph winds could kick up dust clouds across the country.
The National Centre of Meteorology on Sunday also cautioned of rough conditions in the Arabian Gulf and Sea of Oman.
It is also expected to be cloudy in particular along the western coast and islands.
Temperatures on Sunday, meanwhile could hit highs of 35C along the coast and sink as low as 16C in the mountains.
The UAE has so far been spared the downpours that caused flash flooding in Kuwait and Jordan.
But rain and fog are common here from November to March and authorities are not getting complacent as winter arrives.
Dubai Municipality, for example, is preparing for the rainy season by ensuring a fleet of mobile water pumping units will be on stand-by in the event of downpours.
Looking ahead, the NCM warned of a chance of fog across parts of the UAE on Monday. Humidity could also increase by mid-week.
