Dubai residents woke up to thick fog this morning.
Motorists were warned of low-visibility on the roads, as fog descended on the UAE early today due to an increase in relative humidity.
The National Centre for Meteorology and Seismology cautioned motorists to drive carefully during the morning rush hour.
Jebel Ali and areas along the coastline of Dubai were hardest hit, as heavy mist blanketed the area before sunrise, according to residents.
Many motorists reported seeing Dubai’s skyline, including Burj Khalifa, disappear.
Coastal areas throughout the Emirates can expect relative humidity as high 95 per cent today with temperatures reaching 40ºC.
Foggy conditions are set to continue over the next two days with high humidity during the late night and early mornings reducing visibility on the roads, according to weather forecasters.
