After a weekend of heavy rains, strong wind, thunder and lightning, sun and clearer skies are expected to return to the UAE on Monday.

Partly cloudy to fair weather is expected throughout the day, with temperatures rising gradually, the National Centre of Meteorology said.

The relative humidity will increase overnight and early morning in some areas, the weather bureau said.

The temperatures in Dubai are expected to range between 22°C and 28°C, while in Abu Dhabi they will go from 20°C to 29°C.

Wind may reach up to 40kph around the coast and in the mountain regions, blowing in a westerly to north-westerly direction.

Marine conditions will be rough, becoming moderate by evening in the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.
