UAE weather: Calm after the storm
The unsettled conditions will persist, despite the UAE dodging the second wave of a storm on Monday
It will be cloudy with a chance of rain today, say forecasters.
The UAE dodged the second wave of a storm which the National Centre for Meteorology predicted would hit the country yesterday following torrential rain, high winds and thunder and lightning on Sunday.
Although heavy rain fell over parts of Dubai and a few isolated areas of Abu Dhabi on Monday, satellite maps show that the storm system, that lashed Kuwait and caused fatal flash flooding, moved westward into Saudi Arabia instead of tracking east, as was expected.
But the UAE is not entirely clear as unsettled conditions will persist for the rest of the week, said the centre.
Today it will be partly cloudy to cloudy, with a risk of rain, particularly over the islands, coast and northern areas of the country.
Temperatures will reach a high of 32°C on the coast and 35°C inland.
Winds will be light to moderate, picking up at times and leading to poor visibility over exposed areas.
And the sea will be moderate to rough in the Arabian Gulf and Sea of Oman.
