The weather will be hot and hazy across the country this weekend, after temperatures almost hit 50°C on Thursday.
The highest temperature recorded was 48.6°C in Mezaira in Al Dhafra, near the Saudi Arabian border, with humidity rising to 100 per cent in Ruwais.
Temperatures on Friday will reach a high of 42°C but will feel closer to 48°C, according to the website Accuweather.
Clouds are expected to appear in the eastern areas of the country and there will also be light to moderate winds across the UAE, which will freshen at times causing blowing dust over some exposed areas.
The average wind speed will be 15 to 25kph, reaching 38kph, offering the occasional breeze against the heat.

Humidity will increase overnight and into the early morning on Saturday, peaking at 100 per cent once again in Ruwais. Fog and mist may form in some coastal and internal areas in the early morning, especially towards the west.
Those heading to the beach will experience "slight to moderate" conditions in the Arabian Gulf and in Sea of Oman, according to the National Centre of Meteorology.
The temperature on Saturday will peak at 46.8°C in the south easternmost region of the country and the skies are expected to be clearer than on Friday.
The weather will once again be hot and hazy during the daytime and some clouds which will appear eastward.
Like Friday, there will be light to moderate winds in general, causing blowing dust over some exposed areas.
The winds will again have an average speed of 15 to 25kph, reaching a high of 38kph.
The weather is expected to follow this pattern into next week, on Sunday and Monday in particular.
