'Water is life,' says the Swiss photographer Michel Roggo, a specialist in freshwater ecosystems who has published more than 10,000 images shot in locations ranging from the Amazon to the Arctic.
His recent UAE project exploring the wadis and mangroves of Fujairah and Ras al Khaimah resulted in a stunning series of photographs that shed new light on these historic - and increasingly vulnerable - sites.
