The cool temperatures and cloudy skies will continue on Monday, forecasters warn.

"Cloud will decrease gradually though there will still be cloud over the north and east of the country, especially in the morning and day time with chances of rain scattered in the north," said a spokesman for the National Centre for Meteorologyand Seismology.

He said the sea would continue to be rough and temperatures would be similar to those on Sunday – about 23°C in the central region, 22°C in Dubai and 21°C in Abu Dhabi.

Moderate to fresh winds and humidity will increase on Sunday night and early Monday morning over internal areas, with chance of fog forming to the west.

Going into Tuesday, conditions are expected to continue although the wind strength will weaken by Wednesday.

Seas are predicted to remain rough over the coming days.

Over the next two days the sea will be rough in the Arabian Gulf and moderate to rough in the Oman Sea. Waters will become more moderate by Wednesday.
