Wildlife park celebrates its newest additions.
Al Ain zoo shows off desert babies
The Al Ain Wildlife Park and Resort is celebrating its new arrivals with Zoo Babies, an exhibit showing off its newborns including African lion cubs, a giraffe calf and flamingo chicks.
The educational event will run from tomorrow until February 26 and will include keeper tours, talking visitors through the breeding and rearing process.
Other animals featured will include mongoose, penguins, corn snakes and various desert antelopes and gazelles such as the Arabian oryx, Addax and Mhorr gazelle.
The park was first opened in 1967 as a showcase for local desert plants and wildlife, as well as a means for conserving endangered species such as the Arabian oryx.
