Emirati entrepreneurs sought for royal competition in London
Pitch@Palace to be held at St James' Palace in London
The Emirati version of an initiative launched by Prince Andrew, the Duke of York, to help budding entrepreneurs has announced it is now accepting registrations.
The Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development said it is now looking at applications for the international competition 'Pitch@Palace' UAE, which will be held in St James's Palace in London, with the deadline of submissions being August 20.
The initiative will enable those with innovative projects ideas and entrepreneurs, to present their projects, along with their financial, marketing and administrative requirements to elite businessmen and the CEOs of well reputed companies.
Hussain Jasem Al Nowais, chairman of the Board of Khalifa Fund said that the event offers a platform for all Emirati entrepreneurs to pitch their innovative projects. "This is a great opportunity to develop their visions and ideas, as well as achieve their dreams," he said.
"By participating in this pitch, entrepreneurs will get the chance to evolve their projects, enter the global market, and build up a strong network," he added.
Al Nowais said that following the success of the first round of Pitch@Palace in Abu Dhabi, the fund is expecting to receive a big number of applications.
The Khalifa Fund will shortlist entrepreneurs who will also be sent to take part in advanced workshops in corporation with the office of the Duke of York. "Only then, the competition for final selection will start," he said.
The selection process includes two tour rounds, the first of which will be held in September in Khalifa University in Abu Dhabi.
