An 82-year-old Emirati has been diagnosed with novel Coronavirus.
The patient has underlying health conditions - multiple myeloma - and is in ICU at a local hospital, state news agency Wam said.
The Health Authority Abu Dhabi confirmed it is working with the Ministry of Health and other UAE authorities and “has taken the necessary measures as per the international standards and recommendations of the World Health Organization,” to control the situation, Wam said.
The Ministry also announced that the case should not be a call for concern, and that it was being monitored closely.
