Emirates Airlines has warned passengers to arrive three hours early for summer holiday flights, with the busiest weekend day for the airline tomorrow, June 29.

The Dubai-based airline told passengers they can check in up to six hours before departure, and not to check in less than 90 minutes before their flight. Customers who arrive less than 60 minutes before their flight will not be allowed to travel on that service.

More than 220,000 travellers are expected to travel through Dubai International's Terminal 3 over the next two weekends.

Customers can check in online from 48 hours to 90 minutes before their flight, both online and on mobile. Alternatively, Emirates provides check-in facilities near its car park area, where customers can drop their bags between 24 and six hours before departure.

For those not wanting to leave the comfort of their home, hotel or office Emirates offers a home check-in service. For Dh350 an agent will come to your home anywhere in Dubai to weigh and check your bags. Travellers can go straight to immigration when they arrive at the airport.

For a more convenient way to check-in, especially for families, groups and passengers with tight schedules, Emirates also offers home-check in, allowing customers travelling across all classes to check in for their flights from anywhere in Dubai. Courtesy Emirates

For families, the airline will offer designated check-in areas in Terminal 3, and priority boarding to the aircraft. For those using the Emirates lounges there is also a dedicated play area.

Complimentary ice cream will also be available during peak times during the summer. Made by the airline's catering arm, the "Emperor" ice cream comes in five flavours: chocolate, vanilla, date & Arabic coffee, mango sorbet, and lemon sorbet.
