Dubai // An Emirates flight from Manchester to Dubai was forced to abort take-off because of an on-board medical emergency on Tuesday evening.
“Emirates flight EK020 … returned to stand before take-off due to a medical emergency,” a statement from the airline said.
“The sick passenger was assisted off the aircraft to receive medical attention and the flight departed after a delay of 85 minutes. Emirates apologises for any inconvenience.”
The Airbus A380, carrying 230 passengers, was due to leave Manchester at 9.10pm local time.
No further details of the nature of the medical emergency were released.
