Hundreds of thousands of Muslims celebrated the start of Eid Al Fitr on Tuesday, with many performing prayers from 5.45am in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and across the country.
Eid Al Fitr - the festival that marks the end of Ramadan - sees families visit relatives and friends and eat together after a month of daytime fasting.
In Dubai, hundreds of worshippers gathered at the outdoor prayer ground close to Al Salam Mosque - the distinctive red Andalusian and Ottoman-inspired place of worship.
