More than 140 children from over 20 countries will be competing in Dubai for the title of under-18 world champion.
World Scrabble champs gather in Dubai for word wars
The World Youth Scrabble Championship starts on Thursday in Dubai with 140 children from over 20 countries competing for the title of under-18 world champion.
Eighteen are from the UAE.
It is the largest WYSC in the tournament’s eight year history as well as the largest UAE participation since the country began competing in 2011.
Held at The Etisalat Academy, Navya Zaveri, the world under-16 champion who is form the UAE, is one of the favourites.
