ABU DHABI // The Emirates Foundation for Youth Development and the Ministry of Education on Wednesday signed an agreement that will see sustainability and financial literacy included in the public school curriculum.

The agreement was made during an event in Abu Dhabi, the state news agency Wam reported.

It also aims to create a plan that will offer careers for young people to become professional teaching assistants, after they have completed the Teacher Assistant initiative that is part of Emirates Foundation’s Kayani programme.

“Incorporating sustainable development issues in the teaching curricula allows our students to gain knowledge, the necessary skills, attitudes and values to chart sustainable future for the state,” Sheikh Sultan bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, the foundation’s managing director, said.
