Sheikh Zayed academy celebrates 10 years
ABU DHABI // Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, visited Sheikh Zayed Private Academy in the capital yesterday to join in the celebrations for the school's 10th anniversary. Sheikh Mohammed, who also heads the board of directors of the Abu Dhabi Education Council, attended classes in Arabic and English and met the academy's faculty, WAM, the state news agency, reported.
He also spoke to several students from the school about their academic attainment and their vision for the future of their fields of interest. He urged them to take advantage of the available resources to make breakthroughs in their fields and highlighted the role of extra-curricular activities in helping build their characters. Sheikh Mohammed visited the school's library and listened to an explanation of academic programmes. "Despite what Allah gifted us in natural treasures and resources, the national human treasure cannot be compared with any other treasure," he said.
Sheikh Zayed Private Academy follows the American curriculum and covers kindergarten to year 12. * The National
