Indian and Pakistani school ratings

School-by-school results from the Dubai Schools Inspection Bureau.

How Indian and Pakistani curriculum schools rate

The results of the 2010 schools inspection cycle were released yesterday by the emirate’s education authority, KHDA. This morning, a full breakdown for every school was made available.

Each school was evaluated over two or three days between October and December.

The inspectors assessed the quality of teaching, leadership structures, students’ ability to attain knowledge, and facilities, among other factors.

Parents, students and teachers were also surveyed during the inspection.

Schools were then divided into four categories: outstanding, good, acceptable and unsatisfactory.

Of the 21 Indian schools inspected, 11 were ranked good, seven acceptable and three unsatisfactory.

Three schools moved up one rank from when they were first inspected in 2009, and one new school was rated good.

The ranking of the three Pakistani schools stayed the same: two are unsatisfactory and one acceptable.

Individual reports for each school can be reviewed on www.khda.gov.ae
