Schools across Dubai will close from Thursday for the Eid Al Fitr holiday.
Pupils are likely to return to school on Monday, but it will be subject to an announcement from the government, according to the Knowledge and Human Development Authority.
Parents have been asked to follow news for any updates regarding the holidays.
In keeping with the festive spirit, the authority chose to make the announcement through a short poem posted on Twitter.
