DUBAI // American University in Dubai will be dolling out scholarships to the tune of Dh30 million this year, its governing board has announced.

At the bi-annual meeting to discuss future plans and expansions of the university, the board said it was their aim to reward excellence by enrolling top high school students from around the world.

Students have been invited to apply for the Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Scholarship for Undergraduate Admissions and the Mohammed Bin Rashid School for Communication Scholarship programme.

Elias Bou Saab, executive vice president of American University of Dubai (AUD), said candidates will be selected after a review of their applications, with priority given to early applicants.

The grants will be given to outstanding students and those facing financial difficulties. The deadline for applying is 25 June.
