Parents in the capital can raise complaints about school fees to the education authority as part of a survey.

The survey on Adec's website, adec.ac.ae, asks parents to rate their satisfaction with the emirate's schools.

"The survey asks whether school fees are appropriate relative to the quality of education, and if fee-related complaints impact their relationship with the school," said Dr Masood Badri, the director of the research and performance management division at Adec.

"The parents are also asked to state if they have ever been asked to make an advance payment to secure a place for their children."

Parents are also asked to provide feedback about teaching and learning, school performance and student behaviour, among other aspects.

Dr Badri said the survey included a section of questions about special education needs.
