More than 18,000 pupils took part in the summer education programmes Sayfuna Mumayaz and Summer Challenge offered by Abu Dhabi Education Council.

The programmes were held between July 2 and 20 at community centres and swimming pools across the emirate to encourage pupils to make the most of their leisure time during the summer holiday while enjoying scientific, artistic, sports, cultural and heritage activities and workshops.

“The programme helps students explore their talents through enabling them to participate in several activities that focus on six different areas - arts, national values, innovation, education, fun and competitions,” said Mohammed Salem Al Dhaheri, Adec’s executive director of school operations, noting the the programmes improved students’ skills, strengthened national identity and promoted values of giving and community services among youngsters.
