The Mohammad bin Rashid Space Centre (MBRSC) has taken part in the 7th Summit on Earth Observation Business in Paris.

Representing the UAE, Salem Al Marri, assistant director general for scientific and technical affairs, spoke about how innovation is a major focus throughout all of the centre’s projects and gave updates on KhalifaSat, the first Emirati-built satellite scheduled for launch in 2018, DubaiSat-1, the first remote sensing satellite owned by the UAE and DubaiSat-2, the Earth observation satellite.

“It is a great privilege to contribute our knowledge as a nation and to be able to add value to the senior echelon in space technology and business in the world today,” he said.
