Two "Jetmen" soar into the skies over China in a new video campaign to promote Expo 2020 Dubai.

Vince Reffet and Fred Fugen fly as high as 50 metres from the ground around Tianmen Mountain in the first stunt for Mission: Human Flight.

The project aims to demonstrate what can be achieved with technology and nerves of steel, along with promoting the world fair next year in Dubai.

Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, Crown Prince of Dubai, was the first to share a video on social media on Sunday of the stunt in central China's Hunan Province.

The duo's next destination is yet to be revealed but China was described as "Mission 1".

Highly-skilled Reffet and Fugen are working with Ahmed Al Shehhi, a skydive pro who wants to become the first Emirati to don the rocket pack next year.

The Frenchmen have worked with Swiss former military pilot Yves Rossy, who invented the carbon-fibre Jetman pack.

Reffet and Fugen were most recently in action over the Dolomites in Italy in June, flying the yellow and black colours of Sheikh Hamdan's XDubai adventure sports company.

The winged jetpack can reach speeds of more than 260kph and travel for about 55 kilometres.
