DUBAI // A majlis has been opened at Jadaf shipyard to serve as a meeting place for workers employed in more than 300 shipping and marine companies in the area.

Located close to the Dubai Creek, the majlis consists of large meeting spaces and a prayer hall in the Jadaf shipyard that is part of the Drydocks World and Maritime World, one of the region's leading maritime service providers.

It was inaugurated by Sheikh Majid Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the chairman of the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority. "We seek to provide an opportunity, especially to the conventional and well-established companies within Jadaf, to engage with each other so as to build bridges, strengthen relationships and share knowledge and expertise, which will ultimately benefit the industry at large," said Khamis Juma Buamim, the chairman of Drydocks World and Maritime World.
