DUBAI // The committee that is running Dubai's bid to host Expo 2020 met yesterday to review the final preparations for a crucial meeting next month.
The International Exhibitions Bureau (BIE), which oversees world expos, will hold its general assembly in Paris.
The meeting will give Dubai and the four other candidate cities a chance to each press their case to the voting members of BIE who in November will decide which of them wins.
Yesterday's meeting of the Higher Committee for Hosting the 2020 World Expo in Dubai was chaired by Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, president of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and chairman and chief executive of Emirates.
