Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid on Saturday joined 1,000 spectators at Al Habtoor City theatre to watch La Perle.
The Vice President and Ruler of Dubai attended the live performance with his daughter, Sheikha Jalila bint Mohammed, his son, Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, ministers and government departments heads at the 1,300-seat purpose-built aqua theatre.
Produced by Franco Dragone, a former director of Cirque du Soleil, La Perle premiered on August 31 to much fanfare.

The show combines aerial performances, projections and 2.7m litres of water.
Combining tradition and innovation, La Perle is influenced by Dubai’s rich culture and history, vibrant present and inspirational future, encapsulating the essence of Dubai.
At the end of the performance, Sheikh Mohammed welcomed the organisation of cultural, artistic and entertainment performances and festivals in the UAE so as to remain a symbol of arts and culture, a melting pot for innovators and a destination of choice for holidaymakers, and lovers of beauty and peace, reported state news agency Wam.
