Dubai Ruler's Court in mourning following family death

Sheikh Mansour bin Ahmed bin Ali Al Thani was the son of Sheikha Mariam bint Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum

Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Umm Al Qaiwain, Sheikh Saud bin Rashid Al Mu'alla, along with Crown Prince of Dubai Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum performed funeral prayer (Janazat prayer) on the late Sheikh Mansour bin Ahmed bin Ali Al Thani, son of Sheikha Mariam bint Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum. Deputy Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Ajman, Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chief of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince's Court, Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of Dubai Police & Public Security Major General Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and President of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline and Group Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, and Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, also performed the funeral prayer. Sheikh Mansour was buried at the Umm Hurair cemetery in Bur Dubai on Tuesday following funeral prayers at the Zabeel Mosque.

Tributes have been paid following the death of Sheikh Mansour bin Ahmed bin Ali Al Thani.

Sheikh Mansour was the son of Sheikha Mariam bint Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum, the sister of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Ruler of Dubai.

Three days of mourning as UAE royal dies

Sheikh Mansour will be buried at the Umm Hurair cemetery in Bur Dubai on Tuesday following funeral prayers at the Zabeel Mosque.

UAE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Dr Arwar Gargash tweeted his condolences to the family.

“We will miss you, brother bou Ahmad,” he said. “May God have wide mercy on his soul and inspire his parents and relatives with patience and consolation.”

A statement on the government’s news agency Wam said: “The Dubai Ruler's Court today mourned the demise of Sheikh Mansour bin Ahmed bin Ali Al Thani, son of Sheikha Mariam bint Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum. May Allah rest his soul in peace.”
