The population of Dubai looks set to reach 2 million soon.
The Dubai Statistics Centre's online population clock reached 1,984,105 yesterday, up by nearly 100,000 since the start of this year.
The Statistics Centre - Abu Dhabi last estimated the capital's population at 1.643m in 2009.
