Nine men were arrested on suspicion of stealing Dh14 million from a money transfer vehicle in in Dubai. police said on Monday.
The gang distracted security guards as they placed money in an ATM machine while other members of the gang grabbed the money cases, according to Maj Gen Khalil Al Mansouri, assistant commander-in-chief of Dubai Police.
CID arrested the men, described as Asians, nearby within hours of the robbery and retrieved the stolen money.

Maj Gen Abdullah Al Marri, Dubai Police chief, praised Dubai Police efforts: "All the stolen money was retrieved. Thus, shows police officers professionalism and capabilities."
He said police met with government departments and money transfer companies to look at new procedures to limit thefts.
