Dubai Marina zipline raises Ramadan funds for sick children
Special Ramadan promotion will support work of the Al Jalila Foundation
Proceeds from special XLine night rides at the Dubai Marina zipline during Ramadan will be donated to the Al Jalila Foundation to help people needing urgent healthcare and encourage medical research.
Limited tickets are available for purchase now for the special night rides which will take place after sunset each Wednesday during Ramadan, starting this week.
The Al Jalila Foundation was founded by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai in April 2013, to position Dubai and the UAE at the forefront of medical innovation.
A main component of the foundation is to fund medical education and research programmes.
“For XDubai, partnering with an organisation that is both innovative and caring in its mission and mandate was the natural choice during the month of Ramadan,” said Mohammed Javad, General Manager of XDubai.
“XDubai is grateful for the support of both the community and the leadership of the UAE for our activities and initiatives.
“During the holy month, and in particular during the Year of Zayed, we wanted to express this gratitude in a way that will have a lasting and meaningful effect on the community.
“Every day we bring joy and laughter to those who visit our parks or experience the XLine.
“By offering a new special night-time experience on the XLine during Ramadan, we are transforming the joyful moments we are known for into actual donations which in turn, will support the Al Jalila Foundation in their important work.”
Available for purchase online, XDubai’s special night-time XLine experiences will be available from 8pm to 9:30pm on May 23, May 30, June 6 and June 13 for a special price of Dh850.
