Dubai Islamic Humanitarian Foundation offers Dh4.8m to needy UAE families

The Dubai Islamic Humanitarian Foundation donated Dh4.8 million in aid the past nine months.

The Dubai Islamic Humanitarian Foundation (DIHF) has donated Dh4.8 million the past nine months.

Abdul Razzaq Al Abdullah, chief executive of the foundation, said that most of the assistance – about Dh1.6m went to 231 families in need across the country to help them pay school fees.

“The DIHF also helped 71 families in need to pay part of their rents, at a total of Dh817,000,” he said. “A sum of Dh348,000 was spent on paying part of the treatment fees, operations and dialysis for 16 patients in need in the UAE hospitals.”

In addition, DIHF has donated medical equipment for some health centres and buses for a number of special-needs centres.
