A car burst into flames while parked in a petrol station near Dubai Festival City on Saturday.
Civil Defence were called to the scene at 1pm after the car's engine ignited just metres from a petrol pump.
Firefighters arrived to find the blaze had been extinguished by fuel attendants, who also stopped the fire from spreading across the station.
No injuries were reported.
A few hours prior, the morning teams from Al Barsha Civil Defence carried out a drill at an Enoc petrol station during which they extinguished fire in a petrol tanker.
The training was held in efforts to improve response times and to teach petrol station workers and fuel attendants best practice when faced with a fire.
In August, a team of petrol pump attendants put out a car fire at an Adnoc station on Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Street.
A video showed the vehicle catching fire and the attendants around it quickly grabbing extinguishers before it could spread.
