DUBAI // A young tourist was so inebriated she insisted she was a guest at a hotel that had never heard of her, and was arrested after fighting with an ambulance crew.
The 22-year-old Pakistani woman had been drinking for several hours with a man at a hotel bar near Dubai Museum on December 21 last year.
When the man left she argued with a receptionist at the hotel, insisting that she was a guest, even though she was not.
The receptionist tried to deal with the issue quietly, but an ambulance had to be called and the woman fought with its crew.
Police were called at 4.30am and she was arrested.
She pleaded guilty at Dubai Court of Misdemeanours to consuming alcohol without a licence, and was fined Dh1,000.
