Police have arrested a man in Abu Dhabi who 'took over his father's drug trade'.
Drugs found inside teddy bear, Abu Dhabi police say
ABU DHABI // An unemployed man in his 20s who took over his jailed father's trade as a drug dealer has been arrested, Abu Dhabi Police say.
He was found in possession of large amounts of drugs, hidden in a teddy bear and in a water tank on the roof of his house.
Colonel Ibrahim Sultan Al Zaabi, deputy director of criminal investigation at Abu Dhabi Police, said narcotics officers had monitored the suspect for two months before arresting him.
The confiscated drugs include 3kg of hashish, 4,300 pills, 250g of heroin and several shots of a liquid drug.
The suspect's father is a convicted drug dealer who has been serving a prison term since June 2012 in another emirate. The suspect has also been previously convicted of drug abuse.
The case has been referred to prosecution.
