A trapped lorry driver had to be extracted from the wreckage after his vehicle swerved off the road in Al Helio, Ajman, on Wednesday.
The injured Asian driver was taken to the nearest hospital.
Ajman Civil Defence department said its central operations room received a report about the incident on Wednesday night and immediately dispatched ambulances and rescue teams.
Maj Marwan Al Shamsi, duty officer, said the rescue teams worked with Ajman Police to pull the driver from the lorry, using specialist equipment, and he was immediately transferred to hospital.
Police urged motorists to adhere to speed limits and to slow down at intersections and exits.
