Abu Dhabi's new sewerage system will be featured in National Geographic's documentary series, MegaStructures.
National Geographic Abu Dhabi announced yesterday that it will produce a 48-minute episode about the Strategic Tunnel Enhancement Programme (Step), one of the world's largest tunnelled sewerage systems, in English and Arabic.
The episode will first be aired on National Geographic Abu Dhabi then on selected National Geographic channels in the Asia-Pacific region.
Enormous construction projects previously covered in the MegaStructures series have included Hoover Dam, Germany's Autobahn, the Palm islands in Dubai and the Burj Khalifa.
National Geographic Abu Dhabi is owned by Abu Dhabi Media, which owns and publishes The National.
