Dh200 fine for shoddy parking in Sharjah

The fines will be issued from next month and the municipality will mark parking bays with new studded lines inset into the ground instead of the old painted yellow lines.

Sharjah Municipality will start issuing fines of Dh200 to motorists who park their car over two bays.

Sultan Abdullah Al Mualla, the director general of Sharjah Municipality, said the fines will be issued from next month and the municipality would mark parking bays with new studded lines inset into the ground instead of the old painted yellow lines.

The new lines would be first marked in the Al Majaz neighbourhood. They should be clearer to see and should not fade with exposure to the elements.
