It’s not every day you see more than one and a half million dirhams go up in smoke, but that’s what passers-by witnessed when a Lamborghini Aventador burst into flames.
A video posted online shows the yellow Dh1.65 million supercar burning on Monday afternoon on a deserted street in Dubai Marina.
The driver’s side door is open and no one is inside the vehicle. The fire can be seen starting from the rear of the car and progressing to the front.
Civil Defence sirens can be heard as firefighters attempt to put out the blaze, which sees plumes of smoke soaring from the obscured supercar.
About 15 people are looking on from the other side of the street, filming and taking photos of the unusual sight.
Details of how the fire started were not immediately available.
