DUBAI // A “devilish man” molested a 6-year-old girl at the Dragon Mart, a court heard yesterday.
The girl, from China, was playing with a friend outside her father’s shop when the man grabbed her and molested her, heard the Criminal Court. She ran inside the shop and told her mother what had happened.
“She told me a devilish man put his hand inside her trousers and touched her. I know it happened because I raised my baby to tell the truth all the time,” said the mother.
The girl took her mother outside and pointed to MA, 42, from Bangladesh.
“When he saw me he became tense,” recalled the mother. She asked him to accompany her to her husband’s shop but he refused.
He told her he had been fixing the girl’s shirt and tucking it into her trousers.
“My daughter told me he even asked her to take off her trousers,” said the mother.
At the Criminal Court the man denied a charge of molestation.
The next hearing was scheduled for October 20.
