ABU DHABI // The Dar Al Ber Society charity has given Dh2.1 million in aid to the Gaza by sending 10 relief convoys to the war-torn territory.

The convoys include 600 batches of basic foodstuff and groceries, such as oil, rice, sugar, flour and milk. It also contains blankets, bedsheets, clothes, medical aid, cooking utensils and tents.

The donations, organised with the help of the Emirates Red Crescent, is in response to the recent violence in the Gaza Strip where residents have suffered in the Israeli attacks and are living in dire conditions.

The relief aid Scientific Complex Society in Gaza, and the Scientific Centre Society in Ramallah are working with Dar Al Ber Society to distribute the aid provided from the UAE.

The Dar Al Ber Society is still seeking donations.

They can be made at its headquarters on Sheikh Zayed Road, at Ibrahim Al Khalil Mosque in Bur Dubai, and at the Ber Quran Study Centre for Women in Nad Al Hamar, as well as the Jumeirah and Al Musa centres in Jumeirah.

Contributions may also be delivered to the Women’s Affairs Department in Al Barsha or the Dar Al Ber Society branches in Ras Al Khaimah and Ajman.
