Dubai Customs officers have seized 23.5 kilograms of "spice", or synthetic marijuana that is commonly bought over the internet, in the first eight months of this year.
Customs stopped 126 attempts to smuggle in the drug, which most often appeared similar to dark-brown herbs and in packages addressed to young men. Amounts seized ranged between two grams and five kilograms.
Several smugglers have been arrested after the drugs were seized.
