ABU DHABI // A woman proposed in court today to the man she accused of rape.
Her proposal came after a forensics examination handed to the Criminal Court concluded that the sex between AE, 26, an Emirati, and AM, also Emirati, had been consensual.
When the court inquired as to why the woman had claimed the man raped her she replied that she wanted to marry the man.
The man refused her proposal and the case was adjourned to May 20.
