Police have shared a video of the raid on the men suspected of stealing Dh2.3 million from an exchange house in an armed robbery.

A video shared by Sharjah Police on Instagram and Twitter gives play-by-play details of the raid on the flat, describing how they silently entered to find men sleeping on mattresses on the ground.

The five men are suspects in the robbery of Al Ansari Exchange in Al Taawun, Sharjah on March 20.

Police reported that four men raided the exchange house with knives and hammers and a fifth waited outside in a getaway car.

One employee, who was injured in the attack, alerted the police with an alarm system.

The robbery took less than eight minutes.

Other suspects associated with the robbery were arrested in Abu Dhabi, Ras Al Khaimah and Ajman.

Police arrested an additional 15 illegal residents living with the gang.
