Three men have been accused of stealing dozens of air conditioning units from a private farm in Dubai.

The Pakistani nationals climbed over the walls of the property in Lihbab area on August 11.

Dubai Criminal Court was told the men cut cables connected to 48 AC units inside a number of caravans on the farm, loaded them onto a car and drove away.

An employee at the farm informed his supervisor of the theft.

“I was taking a round inspecting the place when I noticed that all of the AC units were missing,” said the Indian worker.

Police officers found fingerprints on a light bulb and a window that helped trace one of the accused.

“We were able to identify and arrest the suspect in Deira’s Al Mutainah area,” said an Emirati police officer.

“During police questioning, he [the main accused] tipped us about the two other men who were a part of the theft,”

The second man was arrested while the third suspect is still at large.

Both denied charges in the court.

A verdict is expected on October 12.
