The Dubai Criminal Court of First Instance was told that the Senegali MK, 38; and ED, 34, and OS, 42, both from Guinea, used a screwdriver to break into the villa of FA, 36, and steal a safe from his bedroom.

The alleged incident took place on September 26, 2010, after FA and his family left to visit some friends. When they returned a few hours later and found the door to the villa unlocked, records said.

FA told prosecutors the safe contained jewellery worth more than Dh200,000. Other stolen items included Dh29,260 in cash, nine chequebooks for FA's company, a cheque for Dh1.2m issued to FA, a laptop, several credit cards, and other small items that men took from other bedrooms, records show.
